My brother often remembers his happy day, when he found his name in the list passed admission in college. It was a real success. But… his holidays went away and he started a new life - some call it routine, others enjoy it greatly. It is always difficult to start doing new things because you don’t know lots of things. Our uncle is working as a teacher at high school and knows much about students’ behavior and their hardships in the first year studying. My brother was planning to ask him for help. He surely could give some hints about studying at college to my brother who is a freshman now.

The first advice. Don’t worry! You’ll be confused only on the first day of coming into the class room. It is explained by the fact that you don’t know anybody. It’s disagreeable but normal. It’s also connected with adaptation to new surroundings. It’s will pass very shortly. If you’ll have bad orientation in numbering lecture halls, corridors, you have to go out for 10 or 15 minutes. You can enter later – don’t worry.

The second advice. You have to make acquaintances with your fellow-students, a tutor who will help decide your problems in college and in campus.

The third advice. Your schedule is truly your Bible. Therefore, you have to find schedule of your lessons and write down it. Don’t be lazy! You have to buy a new notebook to write down your schedule. Don’t forget to look up the schedule because it can be changed.

The forth advice. You have to go to libraries. Don’t forget to bring a bag along with you for taking some books from the library.

The fifth advice. Use the notebook in a classroom, language laboratory, computer rooms, and laboratories and so on. Write down the time of their working. You have to know the time-table perfectly. In addition, write down phone numbers, e-mail, and addresses of your fellow-students. Don’t be embarrassed to call your fellow-student!!!

The sixth advice. You have to buy some notebooks.

The seventh advice. You have to develop the knack of system symbol and abbreviation to the end that you can quickly write down a lecture. All your symbols together with disentanglement must be written on reverse side of your notebook. Don’t worry! If you haven’t done it, correct your mistake immediately.

The eight advice. You have to start training for the examinations with the first lesson. Remember! Education in college is different from studying in school. Mind some hints.

1. Academic load is bigger and subject matter is more difficult.
2. Students should be self-dependent and responsible in studying.
3. You need to have such qualities as organized nature and self-check.

Crucially you have to do your plan organizing your work.
